I have worked seven years and a half at Pressphoto of the Bulgarian&nbsp;News Agency and almost twenty-one years at Reuters, but until now I have not found a&nbsp;systematized text on the issue of news agency photojournalism, which is a big surprise&nbsp;to me. Why is there such a research gap in news agency journalism? This is a dif\ufb01 cult&nbsp;question, but it is a fact that if news agency journalism is a poorly researched \ufb01 eld, its&nbsp;photo sector is undoubtedly terra incognita.&nbsp;With this text I hope to contribute at least a little to the clari\ufb01 cation of some aspects of&nbsp;news agency photojournalism, as well as of the frequent deviations.
