Abstract. The article focuses on the possibilities of creating an effectively working learning environment, the purpose of which is the formation of competencies in learners. It is focused on the main physical, social, psychological and cultural components of the learning environment, paying special attention to the different approaches leading to its successful implementation. Central attention is also given to the implementation of this environment in training and education in the field of media and digital literacy.
