Abstract. The interdisciplinary teaching approach is essential in vocational training. The relations between the subjects from vocational and nature-mathematical cycles are broadly applied in solving practical tasks, in practicing already acquired competences and at the same time in provoking creativity. Moreover, they motivate students to acquire further knowledge in these fields. STEM-lessons – as an attractive teaching method, solve real problems and prepare the learners for a better realization in a real working environment. The teamwork improves both teachers’ and students’ skills. As another plus, introducing the research results develops learners’ presentation skills.
Keywords: vocational education; interdisciplinary relations; STEM-method in the field of vocational education; STEM; practical knowledge; practical skills
